The 6.9ers shared driving in runs from the top of the lineup to the 9 hitter as 10 players had 40 or more RBI's, as shown by their .346 average on the triple. Always a playoff fixture, Stags Tavern, formerly Sportscorner 3, has been consistent all season, but limp into the playoffs losing 7 of their last 9 games. Stags is led by Craig Schumann (.404 average), and playoff tested veteran Scott "Z-man" Zandi (.410 and 48 RBI).

Defending Champion and #4 seed Pioneer Bowl hosts #5 seed Mibbs and Vivs in a rematch of the 2021 Championship game in which Mibbs prevailed as Champion. Championship Day
created 03/23/2023 @ 8:49pm by jimehnert

Championship Bracket

Usually in a Dartball Tournament Championship match, regardless of player skill level, the nerves of all shooters are on display early and often until the jitters subside...a few diapers, quick one-two-three innings, and maybe a stray dart off the board. This was definately not the norm as #3 seed Pioneer Bowl visited #1 seed Town 9 Tap playing for the 2022-23 Country Dartball League Championship. Pioneer Bowl jumped out quick in game one with 3 runs in the top of the first inning, only to have Town 9 Tap respond by sending 10 batters to the plate and putting a 6-pack on the board for a quick 6-3 lead after one...the jitters were gone for both teams. The game went back-and-forth, and led by red hot 9-hole hitter Mike Aulenbacher, the Tappers held a 10-7 lead through 7-innings. Run scoring triples by Mark Rubusch, Joel Heidtke, and Jared Kuhfuss contributed to a 5-run 8th inning for Pioneer, giving the bowlers a short lived 12-10 lead. However singles by Keith Moldenhauer and Doug Fiedler put the tying runs on for the Townies in the bottom of the frame, and with two outs, newly enshrined Hall-of-Famer Bruce Friesch banged a 2-run triple to tie the game at 12 apiece after 8 innings. In the top of the 9th, The Bowl's 9-hitter Drarrell Blair hit a one out single and with two outs, Kim Schmitt drove in Blair with a 2-out triple and a 13-12 lead for the Bowlers.
