CDL-2025- Week 3 Dartball Update
The Pub @ Blackstone Creek 2 with a Dodgeresque performance against visiting Flynns 2, as they hold them to one-run in a three game sweep. Alec Weise, 7-13, leads the way for The Creek 2.
Wanaki 2 Dartball pulls two wins against visiting Nite Owls JV. Greg Metzger 6-6 in game 2, while Arnie Scaich battles to a 8-14 night to power Wanaki 2.
Big Guys 6.9 shakes off some early season rust and slaps around Sheryls by a combined score of 45-1 in their three game sweep. Brian Fiedler 12-17, Kevin Poecker 10-17, and Zac Frank 9-15 with big nights for the 6.9er's.
During a night where, league wide, 14 games were of the double digit sort, Lucky Shotz pounded out the most runs as they tallied 49 against visiting Sals Pub and Grill. Andy Duthie 11-18 overall and Kieth Moldenhauer with 5 hits in game three do the damage for Shotzy.
Don Weyer bats 8-13 with 7 RBI's as Flynns sweeps The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1.
The Turn at Wanaki with an improbable sweep at Nite Owls. Chris Halverson 8-15 and Ryan Kurylo 8-16, including the game winning walk-off in a game two 13-12 win, are the studs for The Turn.
Big Sky takes game one 7-4 behind a 3-4 effort from Terry Esenbach. Erin Inn 1 recovers to win games two and three 4-1 and 5-3...both wins coming with 3-run 8th inning magic.
Two late game triples from Logan Bork power EJ's to a 8-3 win over DJ's in game one, plus two big triples from Joe Macaluso in a game three 10-5 win, seal the deal For EJ's as they take two from The Goalpost.
Pioneer Bowl kept the throttle down winning the first two at Buzdums, before losing game three, the result of a 2-run rally in the 9th inning and a comeback 12-11 Buzdum's win. Tom Galle tied the wild game with a triple before being driven in by the local fan favorite "Sub 1". Jamey Schaetzel 4-5 in the game three win for Buzdums. Joel Heidtke 9-15 leads the way for The Bowlers.

CDL-2025- Week 2 Dartball Update
Wanaki 2 Dartball makes quick work of The Pub at Blackstone Creek 2 with an impressive sweep in their new home. Ricky Petrowski a smooth 9-14 with 6 RBI and Arnie Schaich 8-13 lead the way for Wanaki 2.
Stags Tavern with impressive wins at Big Guys 6.9. Brad Kuenn does the damage for Stags in a 5-3 game one victory, while Craig Schumann , 4-5 in game two helps propel them a 10-7 win. The 6.9ers salvage game three with a huge effort from Brian Fiedler, 4-4 with 5 RBI.
Alex Barbie 7-14, and Matt Esch 3 triples and 3 RBI in game one power Sheryl's Club 175 to a sweep over visiting Sals Pub and Grill. Kurt Minor 9-15 and Cal Dimmick 8-13 stay hot for Sals.
Lucky Shotz traveled to Flynns 2 and escaped with two wins. After taking game one 6-2, and leading 5-4 heading into the 9th inning of game two, Shotzy needed a RBI single by Jeff Moldenhaier to sneak out a 7-6 win. Flynn's 2 used a 4-run 8th inning, capped with RBI triples from James Bullock and Johnny Sportl, to take game three by a score of 6-3.
Dan Lighthizer 10-15, including a 5-5 game one with 5 triples and 5 RBI, lays the lumber for Nite Owls as they sweep Erin Inn.
After falling to Big Sky 6-1, DJ's Goalpost rallied to take two games from The Sky and win the series. Jason Wrasse with the big RBI's in game two and Ben Pawleski in game three lead DJ's.
Following a rough opening week sweep at the hands of Pioneer Bowl, EJ's bounced back by taking two games at a the hostile home of Buzdum's. Leadoff hitter Matt Horne batted 8-15 while Tony Mirecki was 8-14 for the Boys from Bark Lake.
Pioneer Bowl uses a balance attack to slap around Flynns with a 3 game sweep.
The Turn at Wanaki and The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1 will make up their game October 27.

CDL- 2025- Week 1 Dartball Update
Wanaki 2 Dartball (Formerly Mibbs & Vivs), traveled to Flynns 2 and took three games from the host. A game two victory featured Eric Gissal driving in Ricky Petrowski in the bottom of the 10th inning for a walk-off 9-8 triumph. Bob Scheiber led Wanaki 2 with a 9-16 evening.
The JV2 team from Nite Owls collected 2 wins and a series win over The Pub at Blackstone Creek 2 behind a 7-12 hitting night from Steve Nitschke. The Pub salvaged a game three in with a run scoring triple in the 10th inning leading to a 4-3 victory.
Sals rolls into Stags Tavern and rips apart the Stags on opening night. Cal Dimmick and Kurt Minor both 9-15 leading Sals to a sweep over last season's League Runner up.
Andy Duthie 3-4 in game one, and 4-5 in game two gives Lucky Shotz two wins at Sheryls. Nate Monroe drove in Matt Esch with a walk-off in the 9th inning to give Sheryl's a game three win.
Flynns came out firing at The Turn @ Wanaki with a 9-8 game one win, behind 4 hits from Alex Beckman and three knocks from Brad Voght and David Weyer. Wanaki rallied for two wins with the hot bats of Bob Johnson(10-15) and Jason Braatz (8-14) to garner the series win.
Nite Owls spanks The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1 by hammering out 35 runs in a sweep. Mark Lighthizer finished his night with eight straight hits for Nite Owls.. Game two showcased a silly ending as The Owls scored 5 runs in the biottom of the 8th inning to take a seemingly safe 14-5lead, before Blackstone was able to string together five doubles before falling at the end, 14-9.
Dj's Gopalpost comes out banging with a 13-0 shutout at Erin Inn 1 riding a 4-6 game from Andrew Kucharski. DJ's and EI1 split the final two games. Kucharski finished 7-14.
Buzdums takes game one against Big Sky before The Sky uses a Steve Mortl game winer in a game two 3-2 victory to even the series. Buzdum's Brad Helleson then was the right jockey with the right whip as he went 3-3 in a decisive game three 5-3 win.
Pioneer Bowl flexes their muscles by pummeling visiting EJ's by scores of 11-6. 21-2 (including a 12-run 5th inning), and 10-4. Mark Rubusch and Jared Kuhfuss both with 5- hits in game 2.

Championship Day- April 3
For the first time in the 55 year history of the Country Dartball League, the Trophy matches for the Championship and Consolation Bracket Playoffs were held at a neutral site. Lucky Shotz in Slinger hosted the event, which well attended by League members and dartball fans alike. Pioneer Bowl from Richfield faced off against Stags Tavern of Germantown in the Championship Bracket , while Big Sky from Germantown battled against DJ's Goalpost of Menomonee Falls.
In the Championship Bracket, Stags Tavern led the game off with a 5-run first inning and a 3-run second behind two 3-run triples from Rodney Tabat to take a quick 8-2 lead. Pioneer cut the lead to 8-7 in the third inning as Kim Schmitt started the scoring with a 3-run triple. The game stayed tight until Stags took a 14-11 lead into the bottom of the 9th inning . PB's Leon Schmidt provided the bang as he belted a two out 3-run triple to tie the game at 14-14 and send it in to extras. Stags put runners on in the 10th and 11th inning but failed to capatilize. Bottom of the 11th inning, George Hanson provided the base runner and Joel Heidtke drove him in with a triple, leading Pioneer to a 15-14 victory and a 1-0 series lead. Mark Rubusch, Heidtke , and Schmidt each with four hits in game one for the Bowlers. Craig Schumann 5-7 in a losing effort for Stags.
Pioneer Bowl kept rolling in game two and took a 9-6 lead after three innings. The Bowlers and Stags each plated two runs in the 5th inning as Pioneer Bowl kept their foot on the gas holding an 11-8 lead heading into the bottom of the 6th inning. Stags erupted for a five spot behind triples from Jim West and Shannon Leitzke, boosting The Tavern to a 13-11 lead. Goose eggs rounded out the last 3 innings as Stags held on, evening the series at one game apiece. West, 4-5 with 3 RBI, took care of business for Stags in game two. Rubusch and Darrell Blair each with three hits led Pioneer.
In game three, Stags scored two quickies in the first inning, but were met by a return favor from Pioneer of nine runs in the first four innings, as they took an 9-3 lead. Stags then put their first four runners on in the 6th , they were then driven home by West again, who smashed a 3-run triple. Five runs crossed the dish in the 6th inning, cutting the Pioneer lead to 9-8. It was all Pioneer Bowl after that, as big triples from Schmidt and Jared Kuhfuss sealed the deal as Pioneer Bowl never looked back and won game three going away by a score of 14-9. Rubusch was 5-5, while Schmitt and Kuhfuss went 4-5 in the clinching victory.
Pioneer Bowl won their third Country Dartball League Championship in four years. Mark Rubusch was named the Championship game MVP.
DJ's Goalpost made quick work of Big Sky in The Consolation Bracket Final, taking the first two games. This was DJ's frst Country Dartball League title. Dan Kucharski was the game MVP for DJ's.

February 27 Dartball Update
Big Sky with single tallies in the 7th, 8th and 9th inning of game one lead to a 5-3 win over Erin Inn 1. Sky sweeps EI1.
Chris Olmschenk 4-4 in game one, a four run 8th inning in game two, and Dan Gresen and Alex Barbie each 3-4 in game three, contribute to a Sheryls Club 175 sweep of suddenly cooled off Buzdums.
Adam Lighthizer 7-14 and Boone 7-13 for Nite Owls in their two wins against The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1. Troy Schmidt and Robbie Robinson both 4-5 in a 16-run outburst in game two for TPABC1.
Big Guys 6.9 shows who is boss with a 52-run and 73-hit night, as they take two games and win the League Regular season crown against Lucky Shotz. Travis Stegar 11-16 leads Big Guys while Jason Roecker cards a 12-17 night for Shotzie.
David Weyer 8-14 and Danny Barnes 7-14 do the damage for Flynns in taking two games over The Turn at Wanaki.
Pioneer Bowl sweeps Erin Inn 2, finishing with a three run 9th inning , 12-11 comeback win, capped by a walk-off single from Mark Gettelmann. Ron Marth 10-13, a monster night for The Bowlers.
Stags sweeps DJ's Goalpost, knocking them out of The Championship Bracket playoff tree. Jim West 10-16 and Scott Zandi 9-15 lay the lumber for Stags.
Back to back triples from Cody Mueller and Brian Ratz in the 11th inning of game one give Nite Owls JV a win over The Pub at Blackstone Creek 2. The Pub comes back for two wins behind Mitch Reindl and Will Tewes.
Sals with a game one come back 7-4 win over Mibbs & Vivs behind Kurt Minor. Mibbs then takes 3-1, and 3-1 victories to win the beer, and secure a spot in The Championship Bracket of the first round of the CDL playoffs.
Andrew Kucharski 8-13 in the EJs final regular season night victories over Flynns 2.
Please remember Barbara Abler, the owner of Whiskey Corners, who passed away this week. Barb sponsored dartball teams for 20 years in both the Country Dartball League and The Western Suburban Dartball League. Barb was a great supporter of dartball, and the Whiskey Corners Dartball teams were always a fixture at local and State Tournements. Barb and Whiskey Corners were a great host for many visiting teams throughout the years. We will miss you Barb.

February 20 Dartball Update
In Memory of Robin Bird. This weeks games were dedicated to Robin Bird who passed away February 17. The longtime owner of Sportscorner in Germantown, Robin was a teriffic sponsor and a great supporter of Dartball in this area and state wide. The Sportscorner teams were always a presence in The Country Dartball League as Robin sponsored two and sometimes three teams per year throughout the seasons. Sportscorner teams were always represented at numerous State Tournaments and fared very well many times. Robin even got to suit up and play for his teams throughout the years. Sleeveless Dartball will always be remembered. Robin will be missed.
Big Guys 6.9 puts up two 10-spots in beating Erin Inn 1, but fails to get a run across the dish in game two as Erin prevails 2-0. Brian Fiedler carries The 6.9ers in game one while Zac and Elliot Frank TCB in game three. Dylan Wilcox 8-15 leads Erin.
Dan Lighthizer 11-16 a big nite for Nite Owls as they take two from Sheryls.
After winning 10 of their last 12 games, Buzdums suddenly went cold, losing three to Lucky Shotz. Andy Duthie 10-14 and Zach Muche 8-14 hot for Shotzie. Second Place Lucky Shotz travels to Big Guys 6.9 in the final week of the season, needing a sweep to capture the 2024-25 Country Dartball League Regular Season crown.
All fives for Flynns as they take out Big Sky 5-3, 5-0, and 5-4...the final win on an eventual game winning RBI from Jim Miller.
The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1 with three in the ninth inning of game one as they walk-off The Turn at Wanaki on a single from Jeff Hillman. Wanaki rebounds to take two behind Jason Braatz, 8-15. The Creek secures a Consolation Bracket playoff spot.
Stags Tavern with a 3-game Robin Bird tribute sweep as they down Flynns. Scott Zandi four hits in game one, Craig Schumann four hits in game three and a comeback capper triple from Shannon Leitzke in the final affair seals the deal for Stags. One win against DJ's in the final week will guarantee Stags a first round playoff home game as they will have clinched 4th place in the league.
Pioneer Bowl handles Blackstone 2 in the first two games of the series, but suffers a crushing loss in game three to the Pub, 7-5, taking away any chance of The Bowlers winning the regular season League title. Kim Schmitt 9-13 leads Pioneer while Logan and Mitch Reindl bang out three hits each in The PABC2 game three triumph.
Mibbs & Vivs surpasses DJ's and Wanaki after taking two against DJ's. Mibb's Arnie Scaich 6-6 with 7 RBI's in game one as he finished 9-15. Scott Conto 8-14 for Mibbs. Connor Schmid three hits and two RBI's helps in the DJ's game three win.
Sals basically secures a top 8 playoff seeding with two wins over EJ's.

February 13 Dartball Update
Adam Melius ,3-4, leads Nite Owls JV to a 6-5 game one victory over the Pub at Blackstone Creek 1. Blackstone returns fire with two wins behind the hot darting of Robbie Robinson and Ryan Gilbert.
Sheryl's stuns Mibbs & Vivs with two wins in Lannon. Alex Barbie 6-13 and Joel Fus 7-13 power Ackerville's finest.
Angry at being swept at home by Stags Tavern last week, Pioneer Bowl broke the scoreboard at Wanaki piling up 49 runs and 73 hits to sweep The Turn. Joel Heidtke and Jared Kuhfuss both 13-17, while Kim Schmidt added a 10-17 evening as Pioneer moves into second place in the League Standings, two games behind League leader Big Guys 6.9.
Coming off of a sweep against aforementioned Pioneer Bowl last week, Stags Tavern kept the momentum rolling with a 10-7 game one victory over league leader Big Guys 6.9. The 6.9ers came back in game two behind four hits apiece from Kevin Roacker and Elliot Frank in a 17-11 triumph. Trailing 5-4 heading into the 7th inning, BG6.9 scored three in the 7th and two in the 8th for a 9-5 win. Brian Fiedler four hits for Big Guys in game three.
Nite Owls gets a walk off triple in game two from Mark Lighthizer and rallies behind a 9-16 evening from Dan Lighthizer to sweep The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1.
A six-run 4th inning propels DJ's Goalpost to an 8-6 game one win at Lucky Shotz. Game two saw DJ's run up a 4-run 3rd inning en route to a 6-3 victory. Shotzie won game three 12-3 to avoid the sweep.

Big Sky falls to EJ's 6-1 in the game opener before rallying for 4-2 and 12-3 wins securing the beer. Nick Rhuland four hits in the game three blowout.

February 6 Dartball Update
Big Sky sweeps The Pub @ Blackstone Creek 1 behind Jason Zimmerman 6-12, and 4 hits in game three from Nick Rhuland.
Jason Borchard, 8-14, and Tim Wagner ,7-15, lead Buzdums to two 11-run games in taking care of Flynns. David Weyer 4 hits in game two and Brad Voght with 4 triples and 5 RBI in game two salvage a win for Flynns.
Lucky Shotz travels to Sheryl's and lays a 43-run beat down on the host. Dough Fiedler 10-16 and Mike Aulenbacher 11-15 do the slappin' 'round for Shotzie.
Nite Owls sweeps Erin Inn 1 including a 21-run outburst in game two, in which every player (except one who had 2) had three hits. The Owls pulled out a 3-2 squeaker in game three as Dave Liesener banged a walk-off triple driving in Mark Lighthizer for the winner.
Big Guys 6.9 jumps all over The Turn at Wanaki to win two behind Kevin Roecker 10-16 and Fantasy dartball stat-stuffer Dana Schleve 12-16 and 11 RBI. The 6.9ers thought they had game two in hand as they were getting ready to play the horsie game as they took a 13-7 lead in to the bottom of the 9th. Wanaki bull rushed the hosts with a 7-spot, fueled by a game tying bases juiced triple from Logan Moilanen and a 14-13 game winner from Chris Halverson.

After a 10-1 pounding of The Nite Owls JV in game one behind three hits apiece from Drew Brunker and Gary Tewles, EJ's was outlasted 4-3 in 13 innings in game two, Andrew Kucharski helped The Bark Lake crew win game three with his 3-5 showing.

Stags Tavern heads west to take on Pioneer Bowl and pulls off the massive shocker. Jim West, Rodney Tabot, and Ron Schumann each with 4 hits as Stags takes game one 16-11. It was a battle in game two before Brad Kuenn drove in Schumann with a walk off triple in the 9th inning and a 9-8 win. Runs were hard to come by in game three but Stags prevailed 5-4, completing a sweep of the Bowlers. Craig Schumann 8-16, West 10-16, Ron Schumann 8-16, and Tabot 9-16 all carry the big stick for Stags.

League Tournament Update
The 55th Annual Country Dartball League Tournament was held February 1 at Sterling Chalet.
14 teams participated in this years Tournament. A 4-game pool play was then fed into a bracket style finale. The Turn at Wanaki (Menomonee Falls) swept through pool play undefeated gaining the #1 seed in the seeding round. Wanaki then lost to #14 seed Sheryls Club 175 (Ackerville), pushing them to the Consolation bracket. The Turn at Wanaki eventually won the Consolation bracket, taking out Buzdums Germantown) in the final.
In the Championship bracket, top seed Sals Pub and Grill (Menomonee Falls) lost to EJ's (Bark Lake) in the second round, setting up an EJ's final with Regular season league leader Big Guys 6.9 (Hartford). After an early 3-3 tie, The 6.9ers pulled away and was crowned the overall Tournament Champion.

January 30 Dartball Update
Sheryls 175 was a victim of a shutout in game one to The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1, but rallied to take the final two contests and win the series. A four-run top of the 12th inning capped off the night for Sheryls 8-4 win behind Alex Barbie 4-6, Matt Esch 3-6, Dan Gresen 3-6 and Joel Fus 3-6.
Buzdums rolls to a sweep at Erin Inn 1. A two run 9th spurred by a triple from Jason Borchard wins game one, two triples from Borchard in game two leads to a 4-3 triumph, and Borchard again in game three, hitting 3-4 with two more triples. Have a night Borchard!...and put some money on the bar.
A 3-run 9th inning and a winning walk off from Jake Kroll gives Big Sky a game two 7-6 win against The Turn at Wanaki. This winner was however sandwiched between walk-off triples from The Commish and Todd Halverson in games one and three, leading to a Wanaki series win. Three 9th inning walk off wins in a night...ties a worlds record!
Flynns shocks Big Guys 6.9 with a 10-7 game one win behind BJ, 3-5, and Brad Vogt , 4-5. The 6.9ers come back big with 13-2 and 11-4 wins to take the series.
Lucas Antononi 4-4 in game one and Andy Duthie 5-6 in game two lead Lucky Shotz to two wins against Nite Owls. The Owls sneak out game three 4-3.
DJ's Goalpost loses game one at home to Erin Inn 2, but returns fire and takes game two 6-4. It took 11-innings, but a Keith Larson walk-off triple wins game three for DJ's by a score of 6-5. Larson 7-13 leads DJ's.
Mibbs and Vivs loses game one 3-2 at home against The Pub at Blackstone Creek 2, put rallies for two wins to remain near the top of the standings.
Flynns 2 takes game one at Nite Owls JV before the Owlets win their 4th game of the year, 3-2 behind Brian Droese. Brandon Mantel leads the charge for Flynns 2 with a 4-4 game three.
Chad Kuhfuss 8-17 and Kim Schmitt 4 hits in game two help Pioneer Bowl win two at Sals. Jevon Deede with a 4-4 game three helps Sals salvage a 6-5 victory.
Stags takes care of EJ's winning two contests behind a 10-16 evening from Jim West.

January 23 Dartball Update
Erin Inn 2 with a 5-run 5th inning in game one to prevail over The Pub at Blackstone 5-1. The Pub gets a walk-off winner in the 11th inning from Corey Peissig in game two, but Erin Inn takes game three.
Cody Anderson ,4-5, puts a charge into an 8-0 EJ's win over Sheryls in game one. Sheryls Club 175 of Ackerville takes game two, and then outlasts EJ's in a 15 inning game three affair, capped off by game winning triple from Alex Barbie who drove in Nate Monroe.
Kent McKenna 6-9 in games one and two as Sals sweeps visiting Erin Inn 1.
Bob Johnson 8-14 and Todd Halverson 8-13 power The Turn at Wanaki to 2 squeaky wins at Nite Owls JV. The Young Owls take game two in 10-innings as Collin drives in Matt Hansen with the eventual game winner.
Mibbs & Vivs makes the trek to Big Guys 6.9 and takes two from the League leaders. Arnie Schaich drives in Bobby Scheiber with a game winning triple in the 9th of game one for a 7-6 come from behind victory. After Big Guys scored two in the top of the 9th in game two for a 5-3 lead, Mibbs put two on in the bottom and quickly tied things up at 5-5 on a Scott Conto two-run triple. Mike Metzger then chased Conto home with a single and a 6-5 victory. Zac Frank 3-5 in game three for the 6.9ers victory.
Nite Owls and Flynns 2 split before a crazy ending in game three popped up. Single runs in the 6th, 7th, and 8th inning put The Owls up 7-6 over Flynns 2 heading into the 9th inning. The Owls seemingly had the game in hand after putting up a 5-run 9th, giving them a 12-6 lead. Flynns 2 stormed back with four runs in the bottom of the frame, and had runners on seconsd and third, before a two-out game winning attempt was thwarted with a strike out...ending in a 12-10 win for Nite Owls.
Lucas Antonioni three hits in game one and Keith Moldenhauer 3 RBI in game two give Lucky Shotz the series win over Pioneer Bowl. The Bowlers rough up Shotzie in game three behind 31 hits in a 24-8 manhandling. Dwight Miller 5-6 in game three for Pioneer.

January 16 Dartball Update
Big Guys 6.9 back on track as they put up 41 runs and sweep host Nite Owls. Kevin Roecker 13-17 and Dana Schleve 12-15 with 13 RBI's ( a league season high in a night this year), lay the wood for the 6.9ers.
After taking game one 4-3, Buzdums loses two at The Bub at Blackstone Creek 1. TPABC1 takes game two behind a 2-4 Craig Braidigan showing. Game three turned into a marathon with 6 free innings of dartball. With the game tied 7-7 in the bottom of the 15th inning, Ben Laubusch singled, one of his four hits in game three, and was then driven in by a game winner from The Doorman, Steven Hahn...giving The Pub an 8-7 victory.
Sheryls with a 9th inning winner at Big Sky in game one, before The Sky comes back for two victories. Nick Ruhland 9-13 on the night, including a 5-5 game two, and a walk off from Steve Mortl in the 10th inning of game three lead Big Sky.

January 9 Dartball Update
Nite Owls cruises to a sweep at Big Sky behind Adam Lighthizer, 10-16, including a 5-6 game three. Mike K, 7-12, leads the Big Sky attack.
Lucky Shotz busts out for 31 runs against Flynns as they win three at home. Doug Fiedler 8-13 and Andy Duthie 7-14 lead the charge for Lucky Shotz. The big blow came in game three after Flynns scored two runs in the top of the 9th inning to take a 2-1 lead over Shotzy. Lucky responded with a Zach Muche game tying triple in the bottom of the frame before being driven in by a walk off single from Jay Aulenbacher, leading to a 3-2 victory.
John Heilgendorf rips off four hits in a 12-1 game one win for The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1 over Erin Inn 1. Erin evens the series in game two on a 9th inning walk-off winner from Bailey Isselmann. Ray Heilgendorf then does the damage for Blackstone, going 3-5, and helping forge out a 7-6 game three truimph.
Chris Halverson 8-13 and Joe Vachuska 5-7 help The Turn at Wanaki take two games from visiting Sheryls on lasagna night. Alex Barbie 4-5 in a game three 11-1 Sheryls win.
A Huge upset as Big Guys falls at Buzdums. 18 runs on 26 hits, Jason Stone 5-6, Jamey Schaetzel and Eric Schaefer both 4-6, for Buzdums 18-8 game one pounding of the 6.9ers. Big Guys didn't waver however in game two, scoring four runs in the 7th inning, and 7 runs in the 8th inning for a dramatic 15-7 comeback win. Game three was an instant classic and a replay will be aired on The Ocho this Sunday after the Quidditch and Chess Boxing finals. Trailing 7-4 heading into the 8th inning, Big Guys scored 2 in the 8th and one in the 9th to tie game three at 7-7. BG6.9 used a Elliot Frank single and a Brad Kaul triple to take a 8-7 lead in the top of the 10th inning. Buzdums would not lay down in the bottom of the 10th inning. Jason Borchard banged a one out single and was instantly driven in by Tom Gale tying the game at 8-8. Bring up Mike Phillips, who calmly flared a game winning single for Buzdums and a 9-8 win in extras.
After splitting the first two games, Tom Woltring was 4-5 with 3 RBI in game three to lead Stags Tavern to a series win against Nite Owls JV.
Shortest road trip of the night as Sals traveled down the road to DJ's and took all three games. Extra inning madness for Sals as they win game one in ten innings behind RBI's from Nick Kraemer and Chris Basing, before prevailing in 11 innings in game two on a walk-off triple from dartball influencer Rory Crocker. Sals shuts out DJ's 6-0 in game three for the sweep.
EJ's with a massive comeback in game one at Erin Inn 2 capped off by an eventual game winning triple from Matt Horne and an 8-7 win. Eric Muth drives in Ryan Braun in the top of the 12th inning, giving EI2 a 5-4 win to even the series. EJ's then ran out of pitching in game three as they were pummeled 13-1 by host Erin Inn. Matt Sweeney, Braun, and Max Becker all with three hits in the game three thrashing.

Jeff Moldenhauer 9-14, including a 5-5 game two as Lucky Shotz takes three from The Pub at Blackstone 1.
Nite Owls Brian Lighthizer 5-5 in a game one 9-4 win and Dan Lighthizer 3-4 in a 5-3 game two triumph get the victories for the Owls against Flynns 1. Alex Beckman 4-5 and Dan Weyer 3-5 help Flynns salvage a 9-5 win in game three.

In a Christmas party "Box of Fun Night" matchup at The Pub at Blackstone Creek, Pub 2 took game one behind Mitch Reindel 2-4 with 2 RBI . Pub 2 looked to have a handle on game two before Pub 1 scored three in the 8th and then used a Robbie Robonson walk-off triple in the 10th inning for a 4-3 win. Jeff Hillmann 2-4 and 2 RBI in game three propels Creek 1 to a series winning night over Creek 2.
DJ's Goalpost takes two from Sheryl's behind Jason Wrasse and his 7-12 evening.
Todd Halverson 4-5 in a 13-3 game one stomping of EJ's as The Turn at Wanaki lets the kidney stones loose. EJ's won game two, 5-1, behind 3 hits from Andrew Kucharski. In game three,Wanaki scores four runs in the 7th inning followed up by EJ's scoring three of their own in the 7th to tie the game at 7-7. On to the 10th inning where Mike Weiss and Logan Moilanen with RBI's leading Wanaki to a 9-7 win in extras.
League Leader Big Guy's 6.9 narrowly escapes with two wins at Sals. Dana Schleve 8-15 and Ben Becker 7-15 lead The 6.9ers. Sals puts up three in the 8th and 2 in the 9th of Game two for a 7-6 victory. Nick Kraemer with the eventual game winner for Sals.
Nite Owls leaves coal in the (silk?) stockings of the Nite Owls JV squad. Owls explodes for 39 runs behind Dan Lighthizer 11-16, Brian Lighthizer 9-18, and Mark Lighthizer 9-16.
Pioneer Bowl naughty and not very nice to Big Sky as the garner the three-game sweep. Joel Heidtke 7-14 and Chad Kuhfuss 7-13 lead The Bowlers. This series marked the return of 92-year old Verne Kappes for Pioneer Bowl...Verne was 2-5 on the evening.
Stags Tavern welcomes back Buzdums to The Old Stomping Grounds by putting up back to back 10-run games to secure the series. Craig Schumann 7-15 and Jim West 6-15 do the damage for Stags.

December 5 Update
Pioneer Bowl uses a 8-14 evening from Joel Heidtke in taking two games from The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1. Pioneer now stands alone in third place.
After splitting two games , Stags Tavern, led by Scott Zandi, 4-5 and 4 RBI, shuts out the visiting Sheryl's team 9-0 to move into 4th place in the CDL standings.
A seven run second inning put The Turn at Wanaki up 9-2 over host DJ's in game one and the lead seemed safe until DJ's caught fire. Wanaki scored two in the 9th inning and one in the 10th to take a 12-11 lead in extras. However hits by Keith Larson and Dan Kucharski tied the game and were followed with a walk-off single from Jason Wrasse and a 13-12 victory. DJ's wasn't done...they proceeded to pound out 24 hits in a 17-3 game two thumping of The Turn and then, even after The PED testing cups came out, DJ's prevailed for a 9-6 game three win and a sweep. Larson 10-17, Wrasse 9-17, Josh Kucharski 8-16, and Ben Pawleski 9-15 at the top of the hit parade for DJ's.
Travis Steger and Brian Fiedler do the damage for Big Guys 6.9 to help take two games against Erin inn 2. Erin sends 26 batters to the dish in the first three innings of game three, as they used six doubles to help score 13 runs en route to a series saving 13-9 victory over the 6.9ers.

Always a battle, Sals and Lucky Shotz squared off and split games one and two. Zach Muche a perfect 5-5 and Jeff Moldenhauer 4-5 help take the series as Shotzie cruises to a two touchdown 14-0 triumph over Sals in game three.

Big Sky traveled to Lannon and split games one and two against host Mibbs & Vivs. Mibbs. JodiK kept Big Sky in game three going 4-6, but Mibbs piled up a 9-run third inning and a six-run decisive 8th inning to come out on top 16-13 in a pure classic. Player 6 had 4 hits for Mibbs in game three.
Jesse Schaetzel drives in Tim Wagner in a 6-5 game two win for Buzdums against Flynns 2. Wagner and Jeff Skomski then each bang out 4 hits in a 10-5 game three win for Buzdums giving them a series win. Nolan Sweeney, James Bullock, and Trent Schmidt each with individual 4-hit games for Flynns 2.
Congratulations to Big Guys, Class B Champions of The State 4-player Tournament held in Oshkosh. Stags Tavern captured Third place in Class C.

November 14 Update
Buzdums takes two from visiting Nite Owls behind Jesse Schaetzel scorching 9-14 series. Drew Croatt 3-4 in game one and Jason Stone 4-5 in game three help push Buzdums to victories.
Big Guys 6.9 keeps pounding out hits and runs as they pile up 60 hits and 42 runs in a complete schellacking of Sheryls Club 175. Brian Fiedler two 4-hit games with 10 RBI and Kevin Roecker 10-16 kept the runners moving for the 6.9ers. When small ball wasn't needed anymore, Big Guys turned to the long ball as Fiedler and Bruce Frank went back to back with Home Runs in the 7th which was followed up in the eighth inning with a two-run Dong from Chris Becker. BG6.9 holds the top spot in the league heading into the Deerturducken break.
Mike Wagner drives in Chris Halverson to win game three for The Turn at Wanaki with a walk-off triple in the 11th inning, as TTAW sweeps visiting Erin Inn 1.
Flynn's 1 Alex Beckmann 8-15 leads to a series win over The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1. BC1 salvages game three with a four-spot in the top of the 9th inning to prevail 9-5. John Hielgendorf 4-5 in the Blackstone game three victory.
After Big Sky rallied for three runs in the 9th inning of game three tying the score at 11-11, Lucky Shotz Jeff Aulenbacher drove in Jeff Moldenhauer with a walk off triple and a 12-11 Shotzy victory. Lucky went on to win games two and three 10-5 and 11-6 to complete the sweep.

November 7 Update
Big Guys 6.9 keeps a hold of their League lead by sweeping a road trip at The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1. Travis Steger 4-5 in game one plus Brian Fiedler 5-5 in game three with great individual games for the 6.9ers.
Nite Owls 2 comes out bangin' in an 11-7 game one win at The Turn at Wanaki, behind 4-5 games from Jared Bublitz and Ken Vlasik. The Owls bats then go silent due to jet lag from the long trip, as Wanaki wins the series with 6-2 and 7-2 victories. Brian Lighthizer 8-14 leads Nite Owls while Jason Braatz 6-9, 4-4 in game three, has a night for TTAW.
Erin Inn 1 on upset alert after using a 3-4 game one from Bailey Isselmann in a 4-3 win at home against Lucky Shotz. Shotzy hangs on for a 6-4 game two win riding three hits a piece from Doug Fiedler and Jeff Moldenhauer. Erin Inn holds on to a 6-5 lead heading into the ninth inning before their bullpen lets them down. A single from Lucan Antonioni and a triple from Keith Moldenhauer tied the game at 6-6 before Fiedler provided the eventual game winning RBI single. Erin had two shots at the triple to tie it up in the ninth, but left a runner stranded on first.
Flynn's takes out Sheryl's on the road and wins two games. Alex Klumb big in game one and BJ has key hits in game two as Flynns takes care of business.
Big Sky contributes to Buzdums Halloween funk as they take all three games as Buzdums has lost six straight. Mike K. drives in Jason Zimmerman with a game one winner in the ninth inning of a 6-5 win for Big Sky. Playing nine innings wasn't enough in game two as the game was tied 1-1 after regulation. Tom Downer gave Big Sky a 2-1 lead in the top of the 11th only to have Jason Borchard tie it up for Buzdum's in the bottom of the frame. Downer and Mike K both come up big again for Sky with triples in the top of a 4-run 13th inning, giving Big Sky a 6-2 win. No dramatics in a Big Sky 3-2 game three triumph. Big Sky has now won 12 of their last 15 games and sit in 4th place in the league standings.
Sals, also tied for 4th place in the league standings, takes three at Nite Owls 2. Kurt Minor 8-14 and Perry Lemon 5-11 pave the way for Sals.
Stags takes two from visiting Pub at Blackstone 2. Craig and Ron Schumann a combined 12-20 in 12-4 and 7-3 wins. Alec Weise 3-5 helps BC2 salvage an 8-5 game 3 victory.
Pioneer Bowl Lucky 13 times three as they take out DJ's Goalpost 13-6, 13-6, and 13-2. Kim Schmitt 10-16 with 9 RBI, Mark Rubusch 10-17, and Ron Marth 9-16 all contribute heavily in lighting the lamp 39 times for The Bowlers.
Flynns 2 with their first ever series win as they take out Erin Inn 2. After blowing a lead and losing in the ninth inning of game one 8-6, Flynns came back in game 2 using an RBI triple form Brandon Martell that drove in Austin Krueger to win the game 3-2 in 12 innings. Krueger once agin set the table in the bottom of the game three 10th and was knocked in this time by Mike Butchart...securing another 3-2 victory. Krueger was 4-4 in game three and 8-13 on the evening.
EJ's busts out in game one against visiting Mibbs and Vivs behind 4 hits each from Matt Horne and Jesse Garcia in a 9-6 win. Mibbs returns fire and takes games two and three 9-4 and 4-1. Mibbs went ahead with a three-spot in the top of the ninth in game three. EJ's loaded them up in the bottom but could not gain the triple to tie up the game.

October 31 Update
Erin Inn 2 and Buzdums played a Pre-Halloween battle and EI2 took all three games by the scores of 10-3, 4-2, and 10-4.
Kurt Minor 8-10 in games one and two for Sals two wins over visiting Sheryl's. SC175 takes game three , snapping Sals six game winning streak.
No tricks but all treats for Erin Inn 1 as they sweep visiting Nite Owls 2. Dylan Wilcox seven hits in games two and three, plus a 7-13 night from Steve Balestrari help EI2 bring home the candy.
Donny Derivan 10-14 powers Mibbs & Vivs to two wins against visiting Turn at Wanaki in an old Lannon League battle. The Turn wins game 3 by a score of 10-8, spoiling the dreams of fish and tartar sauce for Mibbs.
Flynns 1 puts a scare into League Leader Big Guys 6.9 splitting the first two games of their series. Mike Hennecke of BG6.9 puts on his Super Hero dartball costume and shoots a perfect 5-5 game three and spoils Flynns Trick attempt in a 6.9ers 14-7 victory.
Nite Owls 1 didn't give out any candy in back-to-back 10-4 wins against vsisting Pioneer Bowl. Pioneer avoided the sweep with a 16-14 game three win behind 4-6 games from Joel Heidtke and Jared Kuhfuss. Jared Bublitz 9-16 and Ken Vlasik 7-14 do the damage for The Owls.

Jason Roecker bangs out two triples in a 10-run seventh inning of game two, leading Team Lucky to a 10-8 win, evening the series at one game a piece. Shotzy then utilizes 4-5 game three's from Kieth Moldenhauer and Doug Fiedler, leading to a 9-5 victory.

DJ's Goalpost takes game one at Big Sky, but can't hang as Jim Downer goes Sky High 5-5 in a game three 9-3 triumph , while smashing a 2-run triple in game three that proves to be the game winner in a 3-1 win, giving Sky a small ball fest vuictory.
EJ's jumps out at Blackstone Creek 1 with an 8-1 game one win behind 4 hits from Andrew Kucharski . Game two was a late inning classic, as EJ's scored four runns in the bottom of the eighth inning to tie TPABC1 7-7. Ben Laubusch then used a three-run triple in the top of the 9th inning to secure a wild 10-7 win over EJ's. Craig Braidigan, 2-3 in game three, was then the cartalyst for The host Pub as they won going away by a a score of 4-3.

Sals getting serious as they take down The Pab at Blackstone Creek 1 with an impressive 31-run sweep. Kent McKenna 7-16, Jevon DeeDe 8-14, Dan Fischer 10-14, and Nick Kraemer 8-14 all laying the wood for Sals. John Hielgendorf and Troy Schmidt both 8-14 for Blackstone.
Sheryl's travels to Nite Owls 2 and garners a sweep , After tying the game at 5-5 with a run in the 9th inning of game 3, Nite Owls could not hold back Sheryl's Chris Olmschenk in the 10th inning as he drove in Dan Gresen with the game winner for an eventual 6-5 victory. The triple was one of Olmschenks 4 hits in game 3 and part of an 8-15 evening.
Erin Inn 1 has just enough taking two games at Mibbs & Vivs.
Trailing 3-1 in the 9th inning, The Turn at Wanaki puts up a 4-spot in the top of the stanza en route to a 5-3 win and an eventual series sweep. Bob Johnson finished the series with 9 straight hits and an 11-13 evening to lead Wanaki.

Down 8-5 heading into the 7th inning of the first game, The 6.9ers used innings of 3,4, and 3 runs to overtake Pioneer for a 15-8 victory. Brad Kaul and Dana Schleve both 4-5 lead Big Guys. Pioneer made it a no doubter in game two posting a 22-3 triumph behind five hit games from Mark Rubusch, Chad Kuhfuss, and Leon Schmidt. BG6.9 Schleve a whopping 7-7 in a 27-9 pounding of Pioneer in game three to take the series.

Blackstone takes game two only to have Stags hang on for a 4-3 game three victory. Craig Schumann 7-14 for Stags on the night.

Flynn's came back big in game two, winning 11-7 using three hits each from Brandon Mantell, Mike Butchart, Johnny Spartel, and Nolan Sweeney. Big Sky returned the favor winning game three 14-1, behind 22 hits.
Pioneer Bowl rolls up 36 runs at Buzdums quieting the loudest fan base in the league. Clinging to a 5-4 lead heading into the 9th inning, Pioneer roughed up the usually reliable Buzdums bullpen for eight runs and a 13-4 victory. Chad Kuhfuss, Jared Kuhfuss, and Darrell Blair all with 4-hit games for Pioneer. Tim Wagner 7-15 leads Buzdums.

October 10 Update
After falling 10-1 in game one to Mibbs & Vivs, The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1 draws even after a 2-run 8th inning comeback fueled by RBI's from Ray Heilgendorf and Robbie Robinson for an 8-7 win. However , player 7 did the damage for Mibbs in game 3 with 4 hits and 3 RBI's leading to a 10-5 victory and a series win.
John Voehm starts the party for Sheryls with a 4-4, 4 RBI game one leading to an 8-5 victory against Flynns 2. It was Barbie time in game two as Mike and Alex Barbie combined to shoot 6-9 with 4 RBI's in a 8-5 triumph. It took 10 innings, but Mike Barbie drove in Dan Gresen with the winner in game three giving Sheryl's the sweep.
Pioneer Bowl sweeps Erin Inn 1 behind a Kim Schmitt 9-14 evening.
Chris Halverson 7-13 leads The Turn at Wanaki to two wins at Stags Tavern. Craig Schuman 10-15 powers Stags.
Big Guys 6.9 sneaks out three tight victories at a pesky Blackstone Creek 2 team. Brian Fiedler 11-14 and Kevin Roecker 7-14 lay the wood for the 6.9ers. Ryan Anderson 6-13 and Mitch Reindl 7-13 keep it close for Blackstone Creek 2.
Justin Woloszyk bangs out 4 hits for a DJ's game one win over Nite Owls. The visiting Owls storm back with a 12-11 game two victory on a 9th inning walk-off from Troy Risse and three hits from Dan Lighthizer in a game three 6-3 win to take the series.
Lucky Shotz scores in every inning of a game two win over Erin Inn 2 en route to a sweep. Lucas Antonioni carries the big stick for Shotz carding a 10-15 evening. Max Becker 5-8 leads EI2.
EJ's top of the lineup Andrew Kucharski, Logan Bork and Matt Horne take care of business , as the Bark Lakers grab two wins against Flynns.
Big Sky pounds out 35 runs at Sals garnering a road sweep. Brian Hytry 8-17, Jim Downer 8-17, Nick Ruhland 6-14, and Luke Lietzau 7-14 all pound it for Big Sky.

October 3 Dartball Update
Blackstone Creek takes down DJ's with 2 wins in the season opener. Ryan Gilbert 3-3 in game one and John Heilgendorf 4-5 in game three lead Blackstone to victories. Keith Larson and Karl Larson a combined 6 hits for DJ's in their game two triumph.
Matt Sweeney 6-12 and Aaron Butterbrodt 5 hits for Erin Inn 2 as they take two games at Sheryl's. Dan Gresen 6-13 leads Sheryls.
Abi Donath leads EJ's to a game one win at Erin Inn 1 before EI1 takes game 2 to tie the series. Jake Isselmann the hero in a game three walk-off for Erin as he drives in Josh Henderson with the winner in the 9th, Henderson had also just driven in two runs with a game tying triple in the 7th inning of game three.
Sals trips up The Turn at Wanaki taking games two and three for the series victory. Kent McKenna 7-14 and Jevon Deede 7-13 for Sals as they spend the $100.
Big Guys 6.9 scores four runs in the first inning of every game in their sweep of Nite Owls 2. After losing the first two games, and looking fior the season opening upset in game three, The Owls2 took an 8-6 lead in the top of the 9th inning of game three. However BG6.9 responded with a three-spot in the bottom of the stanza on a 2-run, two out triple from Elliot Frank and a game winner from Zac Frank for a 9-8 victory and a series sweep.
Mibbs & Vivs crushes Nite Owls 1 by a score of 16-6 in game one behind a 5-5 and 4 RBI performance from Player 6. Nite Owls responded with wins in games two and three to take the series.
Lucky Shotz, looking to defend their League title, lays down 29 runs against Flynns 2 in a series sweep. Jay Aulenbacher 8-13 and Mike Aulenbacher 8-13 pave the way for The Shotz. Brandon Mantel 6-13 leads Flynns 2.
Joel Heidtke 9-15 leads Pioneer Bowl to two wins against Flynns 1. Flynns used a wild game three comeback with an eigth inning, game tying two run Home Run from Matt Trushinsky. That was followed with a ninth inning rally that was started with a triple from Jeff Klumb. Alex Vance then walked attempting to bring in Klumb, before BJ drove in the winner with a single...just like Flynns drew it up!
Stags takes three games at Big Sky. Six different players with 3-hit games for Stags.
Buzdums quiet until a 4-run eighth inning in game one leads to a 5-4 win against Blackstone 2. Jesse Schaetzel with 4 hits in a game two shutout victory before a 7-run, 16 hit game three nets BC2 a win.

Year End Recap
Congratulations to Town 9 Tap and Buzdums, the Champions of The Country Dartball League 2023-24 Playoffs. Town 9 Tap prevailed over Regular Season Champion Big Guys 6.9 in The Championship Bracket while Buzdums took out The Pub at Blackstone Creek 1 to win The Consolation Bracket.
The Co-MVP's this season were Keith Moldenhauer of Town 9 Tap, Kevin Roecker of Big Guys 6.9, and Arnie Schaich of Mibbs & Vivs.
