Bob Walters

Lives in Eau Claire.

Started playing Dartball at age 11 in a church league in 1958. Played in that church league for 20 years, and for 29 years in the Commercial league. He has a lifetime average of .587, with 10 seasons over .600, and a high of .649 in 1976. He was on 7 state champion teams (McFaddens 6x, Paul’s Repair). He was probably best known as the lead-off batter for the powerhouse McFadden team for many years.

Bryan Bockmann

Lives in Wind Lake.

Started playing Dartball at the age of 12 in 1970 in the Milwaukee Southside Lutheran League. Played for many Milwaukee teams over the years, most recently with Hickory Inn and Hoenecke Painting. Was on 4 state champion teams (Cruz Trucking 2x, Hickory Inn 2x). Has won league awards for high average and RBI, always shooting over .525, with a high of .602.

Dan Plomedahl

Lives in Eleva.

Started playing Dartball in 1966, at the age of 13 in the Eau Claire Commercial League. He has 13 seasons over .600, with a high of .654 in 1981. Dan has been on 4 state champions (HL Cattle ‘95, MBC Sports ‘04, Gerhards Plumbing ’11 & '15). He has won many individual high average and RBI league titles, and has been a team captain.

Darrell Kottke

Lives in Marathon.

Started playing Dartball in 1968 at the age of 16, in the Wausau Church League. Shot for many years in the church league, and still holds many league records, including most batting titles with 16. His high season average was .667 in 1985. He was also a team captain for 25 years.

Don Steinpreis

Lives in Plymouth.

Started playing Dartball at the age of 22 in 1951 in Plymouth. Don loved playing Dartball and brought many new players into the game. He was a league secretary/treasurer for 10 years, and played on many league and tournament champion teams. His highest season league average was .506 in 1973, and holds the league record for most RBI’s in a season in the Eastern Wisconsin Lutheran League. He also distributed darts and boards in Sheboygan County.

Gary Alberts

Lives in Forestville.

Started playing Dartball in 1963 at the age of 11 years old in a Door County church league. Has played in the Door County Men’s League for over 50 years, and was on the league champion team 26 times. Served the league as President and Vice President. Was on 8 class A state champions (Andre’s, Suave’s 7x).  Has been involved with helping run benefit tournaments over the years. His high average was .614 in 1971.

Gaylon Gotliebson

Lives in Colfax.

Started playing Dartball at the age of 15 in 1953 in the Colfax Church League. Has played for over 60 years, also playing in the Eau Claire Commercial League. His high season average was .602 in 1990, and was manager of the Paul’s Repair team for over 30 years, winning a state championship in 1985.

Henry Gloede

Lives in Fredonia.

Has always played in the Eastern Wisconsin Lutheran League, starting in 1949 at the age of 20, playing until 1976. Has many seasons with an average in the upper 500’s, and 5 seasons over .600, with a high of .645 in 1967. Was on 15 league champion teams.

Herb Barbian Jr.

(Deceased) Lived in Kewaunee.

Started playing Dartball in 1960 in Milwaukee. Played at a high level for many years in Milwaukee, winning numerous shoot off trophies,  and was on 5 class A state champion teams (AMC Pacers, Pleasant View Bldrs, and Cruz Trucking 3x). Later in his life, he moved to Kewaunee and played there for 9 years, setting the league record for hits in the 2001-02 season.

Jerry "Gus" Gospodarek

Lives in Manitowoc.

Started playing Dartball in 1971 at the age of 17. Has played in the Holy Name, Lakeshore, and Cool City Dartball Leagues. His high season average was .545 in 1995. He has been on many league champion teams, and was on two class B state champions (Rudy’s ’01, Hallman Lindsay ’13). Gus has been a league officer since 1995, and been on the State Committee since 1991, helping bring the state 4 and 9 player tournaments to Manitowoc several times. He has also helped sponsor many league and tournament teams.

Joe Franze Jr.

Lives in Manitowoc.

Started playing Dartball in 1953 at the age of 16, and has played for 60+ years  in 2 Manitowoc area leagues. Was a key member of the team that won 19 league championships in a row in the Holy Name League. Hit his high league average of .575 in 1985 in that same league. Was also on the Class B state champion Rudy’s team in 2000.  He has helped with tournaments in Manitowoc for many years, and has been a team captain.

Joe Schaefer

Lives in Mount Calvary.

Started playing Dartball in 1963, at the age of 14 in Marytown. He has played for over 50 years in the Interdenominational League, plus other leagues. Lead the league in triples 21 times, and won a bunch of high RBI titles. His high season average was .570 in 1978. He was on the 2003 Class A state champion Sportsmen team, and won a class A state 4-man title in 2009.

John Karides

(Deceased) Lived in Muskego.

Started playing Dartball at the age of 31 in 1961, with the Shirley’s Tap team in the Muskego League. He played in that league for 53 years, attaining his highest average of .522 in 1991. For 30 years, he was  everything to the large league, holding the titles of president, secretary, treasurer, and team manager.

Lee Loomis

Lives in Eau Claire.

Started playing Dartball in 1965 in Eau Claire leagues. He played for 35 years in the Commercial League, with a high season average of .612 in 1978. He was a team captain for his team for every year he played, and his Loomis Eau Claire team won the state championship in 1973. Lee won many individual high average, tournament, and league awards.

Mike Goetsch

Lives in Cleveland.

Started shooting in 1969 at the age of 14 in the Eastern Wisconsin Lutheran League. Played in that league for 30 years, and for 20+  years in Manitowoc. Also played in the Inter-Denominational League and Sunday Couples League for 18 seasons. All his league averages were in the upper .500s, with 21 seasons over .600, and a high season average of .672.  Won many team and individual batting championships, and has been on 9 class A state champions (Suave’s 6x, Pete & Sons 3x).

Mike Scherer

Lives in Milwaukee.

Started playing Dartball in 1976 as an 18 year old in the Milwaukee Blue & Gold League. He still shoots in that league as well as the 4 man league. Mike has won multiple high league average and RBI titles, with a high league season average of .611 in 1982. He has been on 2 man, 4 man, 7 man, and 9 man tournament and league champions over the years, but is most proud of getting to play with his Father, and his sons Tom & Nick.

Mike Studer

(Deceased)Lived in Frankin.

Started playing Dartball at the age of 16 in 1978 with his Father in the Catholic Blue & Gold League in Milwaukee. He had a career average of around .530, with a high season of .589 in 1994 in the South Milwaukee 4-man league. He was on all 5 of the Hickory Inn state champion teams, and was on the state champion 4 man team in 2011. Stu was the President and secretary for the 4-man league, and helped run the annual 2-man and 4-man Milwaukee tournaments since 1993, with teammate Bob Leskovar.

Paul Strand

Lives in Colfax.

Started playing Dartball at the age of 15 in 1953 in the Colfax Church League. Has played for over 60 years, also playing in the Eau Claire Commercial League. His high season average was .583 in 1984, and was sponsor of the Paul’s Repair team for over 30 years, winning a state championship in 1985.
