Dartball Hall of Fame Selection Committee.

It is with great pride that I nominate Dave Ackerman for induction into the Dartball Hall of Fame.  Dave started his illustrious career in 1985 at the age of 30 years old.  Dave has consistently exemplified excellence, sportsmanship and dedication, making him an outstanding candidate for this prestigious honor.

Dave's highest league average was .615 with a lifetime league average of .550 throughout his 40 years of playing is truely remakable.  Dave prides himself in getting hits in clutch situations while winning 7 class A State 9 man titles with Hickory Inn and Hoenecke Painting.  Dave has also won another 10 various tournament titles over the years.  Dave has won 13 league titles while shooting in Church league's and various 4 man leagues throughout the years.  Dave's ability to shoot under pressure has earned him respect and admiration of his many teammates, and fellow competitors.

Dave's character and sportsmanship are just as impressive as his skills.  Dave demonstates integrity, fairness, and respect for others embodying the best values of dartball.  Whether it's encouraging a new player or offering help in an attempt to make that player a better shooter.  Dave's positive influence extends beyond the dartboard.

Dave has played not only with some of the best but has also played against the best shooters in the State always showing consistancy and passion for the game.

Dave started shooting in the Church league with his father.  Dave credits his father with getting him started in dartball and was a great roll model not only as a father but as a postive influence in the game of dartball.

Dave retired from the United States Post Office having worked in the Milwaukee office for 22 years.

Dave's talent and dedication make him a deserving candidate for the Dartball Hall of Fame.

Thank you for considering Dave for this honor.

Sincerely

Paul Zientek

I have been Dave's teammate for 30 years and also worked with him his entire career at the Post office.

Dave is a great-- person, leader, teammate and friend. I gaurantee you he is not just a single shooter either--- and without him on our

team, we would not have won any championships! I fully support Dave being voted into the hall of fame---he's as good as they come!

David is and always will be one of the best teammates and competitors. I have had the pleasure of being his teammate but also his opponent.  David's quiet leadership has insired many teammates exactly when needed with his famous " It is always someone"  catch phrase. His legacy as a great clutch player takes second seat to his passion of being a great teammate and mentor to the next generation of Dartball players. I not only support his nomination to enter the Hall of Fame but encourage you to get to know David on a personal level. He is a Hall of Fame human being.
