Dean started playing dartball in the late 1950's or early 1960's. Dean shot over .400 41 yrs, over .500 18 yrs, and over .600 2 yrs. with a high of.607 in 1984. Dean led the Interdenominatonal league in hits 4 times was in the top5 10 times with a high of 191 in 1978. Dean led the league in triples 4 times with a high of 134 in 1965. Dean led the league in singles 6 times and finished in the top 5 18 times with a high of 145 singles in 1980 and 1987 respectively. Over a 36 year span he shot over .400 every year from 1969 - 2003. For many years Dean served as secretary of the Interdenominational league. A life long dairy farmer Dean is retired now. In 2008 Dean earned the highly coveted Milford Leverenz Sportsmanship Award. A fierce competitor and a true sportsman.
